Restaurant Reviews - Mytown Eating Place

Sorry for the delay in posts, I've just been preoccupied with other stuff.
Anywhos since I had such a pleasant experience the last time I came here I decided to give it another go, little did I know it'd be a terrible experience this time around.
MyTown is located in Batu Satu right next to Charcoal BBQ & Grill.










Yes, as usual the atmosphere is/was very quaint and rustic.

What to eat?


 

 

 And as usual its a pay before you receive your food kinda deal meaning self service.
So I will be listing out each individual dish I ordered and what went wrong with it.

Wonton Soup ; Soup was great, however the wontons tasted sour, now I don't know about you guys but sour meat is usually meat that's gone bad
Money Cai Noodles ; Noodles tasted like the packet kind, they served it with mostly anchovy HEADS and it was overly salty
Seafood Meehoon ; Was super dry and very fishy.

 And if that wasn't enough my mom decided to order the same dish I was having, Take a look at the difference in both and you tell me if its quality standard.

My Watan Hor ; Overall great but found several eggshells in it.
My Mom's Watan Hor; see how different it looks compared to mine? Hers also lacked taste and smelt and tasted like they used a rotten egg!
 We had a really bad experience here today, but luckily we got compensated by their manager Joanne.




 Its actually safe to say, I'm going to distance myself from here for the time being and try other restaurants out.

Going fancy for the night! Decided to try Tarindak d'Polo which is located in the polo club in jerudong. So lets get into the pictures. Starting with the location and pictures of the place. Welcome to the exquisite night we're going to have! The polo club is a very regal feeling place, and seeing as it belongs to our sultan himself, why wouldn't it be? Also who doesn't like horses! Drinks anyone?   The teh tarik and coffee&tea station had to be one of my favorites. they even had pictures of the sultan! The teh tarikh was super rich and strong tasting and the coffee was freshly brewed!  They also had an assortment of drinks (8 flavors to be exact) Ranging from iced coffee, to soybean, to iced jagung. Not even including the fridge full of fruit punch and fizzy strawberry lemonade. Lets move on to the appetizers, and holey moley there was ALOT so I'll let the pictures do the talking!

Brunei Side Stalls - So CoCo Coconut

Hidden in the building opposite Gadong Properties (next to the C7 minimart) we stumbled upon this treasure! Heads up coconut lovers, this ones for you!   Lets start off with the decoration and setting. Really feels like you're in the Bahamas or Hawaii.  VERY Instagram worthy.   Their choices of toppings. Their menu is very simple and great, you'd only need less than $5 to enjoy one of their items. I ordered the signature coconut shake, which they topped with icecream, one sip and I was hooked, being a big fan of anything coconut I am always very peculiar about advertised coconut products vs the actual taste of it. It was really delicious and I recommend anyone who's a coconut lover to give it a try. They even have coconut pudding, be still my heart. 'Scuse me while I down the rest of this. Restaurants In Brunei - Pho Hoa Vietnamese Cuisine

Being a HUGE fan of  any kind of soup with any kind of noodle I decided to give this place a try. Located in Kiulap on the same row as sketchers is Pho Hoa.     Their menu is very small and limited which actually made it easier for us to choose what to order. Two Beef Pho Specials, Please! With An Additional Side Of Fresh & Fried Springrolls! Somehow or rather you'd think a place like this would make their own meatballs, kind of a let down to find out that they were of the frozen variety.  Pretty affordable if you like pho.
